Learning the Ropes is our flagship careers event held every two years which provides a valuable opportunity for students from Year's 9 to 12 and their parents to explore a wide variety of careers by talking with professionals working in those industries.

We have secured the services of nearly 100 Old Andreans, parents and friends to come and talk to you about their career journeys, what work is like in different industries, and their advice on finding your feet in the workforce after school. Hear from a discussion panel of Old Andreans who are 10 years out of school then engage in a one-on-one basis with our industry professionals who come from more than 50 different industries.

A huge range of career paths are represented - you can chat to a journalist, a civil engineer, an architect, a doctor, a flight instructor, a paramedic or even an ARIA award winning musician!

We also have representatives from all the major Sydney universities coming along to speak with you about their specific uni experiences to give you valuable insight into each institution.

This is a free event and registration is essential.
