From new babies to recent weddings, many Old Andreans have marked significant life events in recent months. Here's a look at some of the joyful updates shared with us. 

Hatches 

Gavin Brightwell (OA2009) and partner Erin welcomed Goldie Lou Brightwell on 14 May 2025, arriving right on her due date and weighing 3.34kg. Mum and baby are doing well, and Gavin is embracing life as a father to two girls (family dog Possum included!).

Ollie Brecht (OA2008) and partner Hayley celebrated the early arrival of their son, Emerson 'Sonny' Brae Brecht, born on 22 April 2025. Described by his parents as a spirited little one who takes after both of them, Sonny has already captured their hearts.

Elizabeth Grant (née Garrett, OA2008) and partner Alex welcomed Elsie Rose in July. The couple shared a touching message: "We have dreamed of you since the day we realised our future looked like a family… the world is your oyster." 

Darcy Bray (OA2009)—former President of the Old Andrean Association—and partner Kate welcomed Maxwell John Robbins Bray on 4 May 2025. After a long labour and emergency caesarean, Max arrived healthy and strong at 11:02am.

Julia Jackson (née Peters, OA2005) and partner Akeem celebrated the birth of their daughter, Amelie, on 6 May 2025. She is the fifth girl in their household, and her name honours fellow OA Amelie Smith (née Deasey, OA2005).

Amelie Smith (née Deasey, OA2005) and partner Devan also welcomed a daughter—Lily Tonia Smith—on 23 April 2025, weighing 3.7kg. Her middle name honours Amelie's mother, Antonia.

Dacien Hadland–Beer (OA2000) and partner Shaun announced the arrival of Lachlan on 16 May 2025. Born at 35 weeks, Lachlan spent 18 days in the Special Care Nursery before coming home on 3 June.

Noah Sinac (OA2014) and partner India welcomed Atlas on 11 April 2025 at 7:05pm. They've affectionately dubbed him their "snugglepot."

Grace Brown (OA2010) and partner Scott are now proud parents to Rory, born just in time for sunrise.

Pip Brennan (OA2010) married Cam Howes in March in the Hunter Valley, surrounded by family and friends in a relaxed and scenic celebration

Oscar Smith (OA2015) wed Risa Murikami in June at the University of British Columbia Rose Garden in Canada, where the couple first met while Oscar was completing his PhD.
